The Warriors have played 27 seasons. In that time they have missed the playoffs 8 times. In the last 15 years they have missed the playoffs twice.

I can't find game by game attendance figures for the current season, however both of the games I have attended have been over 4,000.

And somehow the fact that this may only be a 63 million dollar hockey rink (with a touch of curling thrown in) is not being commented on by the Warrior cheerleading squad!

In Dawn's blog she said she needed more information. I am waiting to see what she finds.

You can go to the Warriors' website and find attendance figures... just go to where its says "Gametime" and click on full schedule and it will give you results and attendance numbers.

I myself am troubled to hear that our paid city officials are skirting their responsibility to tax payers of addressing and deliberating the budget of the community. Especially when the time frame to do so has been well defined. If you can`t do what your paid to do, maybe it is time you looked else ware for employment.

Really, is Dawn's blog any surprise to anyone? First of all...the multiplex was built for the Warrior's...the curling was added after the fact. It does not surprise me in the least to know that concerts will be an iffy thing in that building.
As far as the hedging on matters with city council..again, this is not a surprise to me. In fact, I think this is the norm.

Are they waiting for all the other cities to raise taxes first? Weren't we supposed to start paying the increased hospital levy this fall?(Hagel said) Guess it'll be "Merry Christmas, Moose Jaw." The only thing Chuckles & his 3 henchmen can decide on is not to decide yet-we'll study it!

Let's be realistic people. The building designers knew all along that Moose Jaw would not actually get any big name concerts so didn't build for it. The whole concert thing was just a big farce that people fell for.
Think about this for a second... Regina is 35 minutes away, has a way bigger concert facility and about 7 times the population of Moose Jaw. What "big" concert was ever going to pass over Regina for Moose Jaw anyhow? Concert promotors are going to the big city with big facility. To someone from a REALLY big city a 35 minute drive is nothing, its what they do every day. So promotors figure Moose Jaw people can just go to Regina for concerts.
You think Aerosmith is going to play MJ instead? Oh wait, people thought a big band like Aerosmith was going to play Regina AND Moose Jaw. lol. So dumb.
Common sense has told me from day one we were not getting big concerts here.

To small for big concerts, to big for small concerts.

It was only built for the Warriors.

Leaving the taxpayer to pay the bills.

Failed pledge drive, but why would the pledgers pay their pledge, the Warriors have not paid theirs.

For anyone still subscribed to Shaw - and watched the council meeting - there was a brief mention in the Multi-Plex update for a need to complete an engineering study on this deficiency as well as a mention of the warranty period expiration.
