are you saying recycling is only valid if it's aesthetically pleasing?
Well, I'm just thinking it looks a little tacky to have all these campaign signs out there for candidates, some of which have never even seen an election before, that are professionally done and yes, asthetically pleasing.
Not saying one shouldn't recycle old campaign posters if they are for the same kind of campaign, or still in decent shape. But...literally ripping signs in half to (what I see as) save a few bucks?? How much does a batch of campaign signs cost anyways?
To me, it shows a lack of caring about the campaign. If they are (in my eyes) too lazy or too cheap to get a nice shiny, new batch of signs...what else are they too lazy or too cheap to do, not only in their campaign, but if they get elected? Yes, frugality is a benefit for councillors, but it can also be a major hinderance. Are his flyers the same NDP ones he handed out, with the NDP just whited out?
I don't see Mr. Hagel or Ms. Shasko reusing their campaign signs from the provincial/federal campaigns. Just my view on this.
