Well it appears those in the conservative camp are thinking that way, for why were they so quick to shove a sock in Harper’s mouth and coward out of the one on one debate?
Or maybe if they are not afraid of Iggy, it`s Harper’s true colors coming out they are afraid of, , , what do you think?
I for one would love to see this one on one, like they say, "True leaders can think on their feet."
the whole election is a waste of taxpayer dollars totally unnecessary ...I will not be voting for your Iggy no matter how badly he fails in a debate. furthermore severalof the folks on this website seem to be only concerned about tax dollar spending everyone on here should be pissed right off about the election

I think if you take a really close look at all of this, the Harper minority was the longest lasting minority government in the history of the country.
Yes we are having a lot of elections here lately and they do cost a lot of money.
Big thing is, is to ask why so many???
Maybe we should blame it all on the Bloc Quebecois because they make it virtually impossible for ANY party to have a majority.
With that said if you take a really good look at the Bloc and their founders and who helped those founders to reach prominence then I think you might find the right person to affix blame to.
Bouchard is generally credited with converting his friend Mulroney from a Trudeau-style (centralist) federalist to an advocate of decentralization.
Mulroney appointed Bouchard ambassador to France in 1988 and brought him into the federal Cabinet that year as secretary of state and later as minister of the environment (1988-90). However, Bouchard became increasingly angered by the growing resistance to the MEECH LAKE ACCORD (see MEECH LAKE ACCORD: DOCUMENT) and by what he perceived as the willingness of Mulroney to compromise the deal to secure its passage.
Formation of the Bloc Québécois
On 21 May 1990 he abruptly resigned from the Cabinet and the Conservative Party. Within weeks he gathered a cadre of like-minded Québec MPs and formed the BLOC QUÉBÉCOIS
