The referendum vote was tainted by COWBOY POLITICS.................

arron, Could you please give us your definition of COWBOY POLITICS.
I think that we better get this out there ASAP. I heard from a cowboy "in the know" that his buddies are getting restless over this. They are threatening to boycott curling and as you know we have the cattlemen's bonspiel coming up. The multiplex could go under if this happens. And you know.... no cowboys, there will be no cowgirls! That would be a catastrophe.

From a previous post of mine...

Been here a decade or so.

It is like Moose Jaw is living politically in the 19th century.

Like how the multiplex project was railroaded through city council in June of 2008. The steering committee presented their final report in June, 2008 and city council voted to proceed on the project with ZERO public consultation.

Is that not a perfect example of cowboy politics?

How does your multiplex/council/railroad scenario implicate our COWBOY friends. We should get this straightened out. They are already pissed off enough because the Royal Hotel is gone.

Could please give a definition please. Watching cowgirls in curling tights is important to many of us.

Actually the vote was not "for progress" and the actual wording had to be based on a motion of Council, but it wouldn't surprise me if you interpreted it as something that really wasn't there.

And somehow you forget the other 40% that voted. Not surprising either.

The real Multiplex business plan is to suckle mama's teet until it runs dry, or she learns that the child is really 72 years old and needs to be booted out on their own.

Shows a real lack of consistency and compromises their position in any other arguments they make. Love it when the trolls expose themselves.

But hey, if they don't like it, I could just reiterate the comments from "Really":

WHY DO YOU NOT MOVE OUT OF {the} MOOSE JAW {forum}?????? If {the forum} is such a terrible place with numerous issues that arise daily along with those issues that you just can't let go, why do you choose to stick around {the forum} and just bitch about them?

But, unlike Really, Doc, Cliff and others, we don't discriminate just because you don't agree with us. You can bitch all you like, even if it shows you as unstable, inconsistent hypocrites.

That's OK Baby, I'm sticking around too. Some things are worth fighting for in this life.

COWBOY POLITICS - The art of enticing lemming-like citizens, who have no idea of how to think for themselves, into taxpayer funded projects that the cowboys (and cowgirls) want done. Merrily lassoing the taxpayers into the rodeo ring and making them dance for the cowboys (and cowgirls) entertainment.

Really... wrote:Suki, Truth Defender, Orville, Jty, Sledge, Amultimess, Tired, Cricket, Aaron, Placid, Zephryn..... Here is an honest question that I am sure would be on many peoples minds after reading your constant negative posts about our City.... WHY DO YOU NOT MOVE OUT OF MOOSE JAW?????? If this is such a terrible place to live with numerous issues that arise daily along with those issues that you just can't let go, why do you choose to stick around and just bitch about them? The amount of hate and dissappointment you have for our Mayor, council, City employees, development and projects is really something else, but again, what blows me away is that you continue to live here.....

Again, I feel the need to respond to this statement of sophistry.

Why should I move? Why should any of us move?

I, for one, am very tired of COWBOY POLITICS. I am sick of the amount of money the taxpayers of Moose Jaw have shelled out over the last few decades for the pleasures and whims of a select few.
This is, I repeat, the 21st century. Time to put a stop to COWBOY POLITICS here in Moose Jaw and give control of City Council back to the citizens of Moose Jaw where it truly belongs.

Watch out Cowboys and Cowgirls. Your day of reckoning is coming way sooner than you think.
