Here is an honest question that I am sure would be on many peoples minds after reading your constant negative posts about our City.... WHY DO YOU NOT MOVE OUT OF MOOSE JAW?????? If this is such a terrible place to live with numerous issues that arise daily along with those issues that you just can't let go, why do you choose to stick around and just bitch about them? The amount of hate and dissappointment you have for our Mayor, council, City employees, development and projects is really something else, but again, what blows me away is that you continue to live here.....

Must agree with really, there are things wrong with the Jaw, government crap, but every town has that issue until people realise just what is wrong with our existing system of "governing" lots of negative rants, but why are people still here? and why are people moving here from 'lotus land" and California, that shows you that those paradises are not what you think they are unless you are pulling down $275,000 a year, MJ was a very close second choice for me coming from wonderful CLAGARY, try that mecca for a year or two (cheapest house starts at $497,000- - -try that on $8.00/hr. if they revitalize the beautiful downtown area into a viable business district the Jaw will be THE place to live, right size, lots of parks, and a new $6,000,000 skating rink, good facilities, great river park, 1/2 hour to a major airport, and some very friendly people, and you can now skate on the river, count yourselves lucky, you could be living in Detroit or Toronoto (Ugh!) Ask all the guys who came here from Montreal (CP) they seem to be doing rather well.
Civil servants and their CEO's seem to be the cause of a lot of problems as they are in every city, there's your problem.

I have never heard any of them say they hate Moose Jaw. However, they may not like the way things are ran in Moose Jaw and are stating their opinion. Although I am sure that you believe that you and people who think like you are the only opinions that count..

Here is a question to you. Why do you continue to constantly bitch about other peoples opinions. If you do not like their opinions, then prove them wrong, rather than just bitch for the sake of bitching.

Gee,you forgot me. If you paid attention,You'd notice that the problem is with the WASTE of our tax dollars & the spending of them on wants,not needs.Do you see anyone having a problem with a new hospital(and the cost),any road work,any move to get rid of lead pipes?? I for one have lived here for years & been happy about it.Since the mplex was jammed down our throats-complete with absolutely ridiculous wages & subsidies I've developed a distinct disrespect for our mayor & most of council-who have their own agendas,not taxpayer representation on their minds. I believe we are entitled to our own opinions.(I presume you haven't lived here long.)

Also my probation officer wants me to stay in a smaller city!

Well Really…, if we did move who would look out for yours and everyone else’s best interest regarding how the powers that be managed your tax dollars and the fiscal integrity of this city?????

If you care so much more for this city then the rest of us, go on over to the Multiplex section of this forum, in the Post “Multiplex Budget” and prove it by giving us your opinion on how the mob is handling your tax dollars.

Really, the only problems in Moose Jaw are the people who think recreation is more important than basic core infrastructure.

The intelligence level of some people astounds me - I always thought the information age would make people smarter... guess I was very wrong.

Moose Jaw, as a place, is a great City to live in and I'm sure most on here will agree, but politically it could be much better!! But some people need to educate themselves on what is required to be a responsible "Citizen in a Democratic Society"!! The electorate is responsible to keep their Elected Leaders accountable at all times, at all levels and Moose Jaw seems to need that more than most places! Just consider, based on the facts, all the underhanded activities, miss-information, bad decisions and self serving leadership that has come from City Hall over the years! That clearly deserves criticism and any Citizen who is unwilling to keep their elected leaders accountable by voicing their discontent doesn't deserve to live in a Democracy!!
