In yet another marketing tactic by the high flying Moose Jaw Warriors the team is planning to host a flashlight night when they next host their arch rivals the Regina Pats.
Sponsored by the battery manufacturer, nEveready, fans are being encouraged to bring their flashlights to the game in what is to be a fan spotlight for the team. Season ticket holders will be treated to special battery deals with partial proceeds going towards the team's sky box fund.
The team sees this as a way to make lemonade out of lemons as well as cheaply upgrade the lighting to assist the Regina tv channels coming for the game. The Warriors also see it as a way to fix Mosaic Place's lighting problems at zero cost to the team.
