Well, the steering committee told us 1 major event every 3 days. Surely something has to be up and coming.

Moose Jaw, the town that is always optimistic about tomorrow, but then full of excuses when it NEVER "works out." Welcome to tomorrow.

I think if you take a really good look at the tone of the other side on this one it is not to attack the message, but rather attack the messenger.

For me I will say that a lot of people from out of town - who have been to the Multi-Plex - say that it is a very nice building but then they add it is a little bit over the top for Moose Jaw. Is it building envy??? In some ways it is but there are also comments out there about how could Moose Jaw afford it?

"how could Moose Jaw afford it"? Anyone with a sense of fiscal responsibility and reality would realize that we can't!!! It is not fiscally sustainable considering all the other higher priority City infrastructure requirements!!

You have to thnk positive Sledge.
More potholes in the city means more shock sales at Canadian Tire. Less snow removal means that our body shops will flourish and earn much needed dollars. It is what you call an economic spin-off, this could really end up helping the city especially the mechanical trades as well as people who install windshields....

A twisted sense of fiscal logic "TD", when we are already paying big dollars for the provision of City services that should preclude the taxpayers from "excessively" incurring those other services that simply cost us more, "keep the money flowing", and often increases personal debit to income ratio which is also not sustainable! I'm a realist not a BS person.

Well jay, it's nice to hear you admit that there is a problem finally.

But it sure isn't the Multiplex. Can't blame that project and the people behind it for anything.

The problem isn't with the multiplex... more than likely its with Shaw TV production... but way to go on taking my comments out of context though...

Actually the lighting is a bit off. They should probably have twice as many units, the light on the ice is spotty. They had to add lights to the scoreboard as centre ice was in shadow, now it is noticably brighter than the rest of the ice surface. Is of it a deal breaker, no, but for a new facility it should be better.

I suppose more money will be required to "fix"this. WHEN DOES IT STOP? ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
WE LIVE IN A THIRD WORLD CITY, THANKS TO THE RECREATION PROJECTS OF THE PAST FEW YEARS.
Makes me ill.
