Except they aren't even carrying that $400,000 forward into the new budget year. They planned ahead, and last year passed a motion allowing them to bank that money. Think someone might have been anticipating the excess to even think of such a motion? If i remember correctly, it was Terry Coleman that introduced that motion.

This is quite troubling because as I understand the Multi-Plex operations they are independent of council and they can basically do with a very large sum of money as they please and not have to worry about any type of oversight nor any public input into the spending of that money. Would I be correct in stating that Priapus???

Good statement, but why limit fiscal responsibility solely to Mosaic Place; why not hold all recreation and sports facilities in Moose Jaw to the same standard? After all, Pottersville looked like it was a lot more fun than Bedford Falls in the classic Christmas movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life” and I am pretty sure that Henry F. Potter (the Lionel Barrymore character) would not have wasted taxpayer’s money on anything that could not turn a profit or, at least, break even.
