With the recent controversy in Swift Current and the city successfully bringing the area RMs to the negotiating table in the area of non-resident recreation fees I felt this poll is a worth-while endevour.
Also the City of Regina doesn't charge these fees, but non-residents can only participate in high demand programs - like swimming lessons - if there are no city residents wanting into the program.
Should we continue to subsidize area and non-city taxpaying residents' recreation - this includes Bushell Park residents and acreage owners?
Or should the city - apparently strapped for cash and looking for federal help for infrastructure - look at this as a means to garner revenue for our local municipal budgetary ills?
