I will give another example of how stickwork is more damaging than fighting... remember when Paul Kariya was crossed-checked by Gary Suter and suffered a severe concussion? He was never the same player after that...

Yeah that was terrible :( Gary Suter ruined more than one career.

There is simply endless examples of stick work since they instituted the instigator penalty. Here's a few notable ones.

Yes!!
Watch boxing if ya wanna watch a fight.
Coaches who teach kids to hit on the ice should be charged with child abuse.
Coaches who tell adults to fight on the ice should be charged with accessories to assault.
What kind of an idiot goes to a YOUTH sporting event gets drunk and cheers at KIDS to assault one another.
Only COWARDS hit from behind.

Oh Ya Don Cherry if living off the tax payers money and the hockey players blood.
Things need to change

Well, softwarejoe, hitting from behind is a problem at all levels of hockey... not just at the NHL level... and a hit from behind is not a fight, nor is a hit to the head, so fighting isn't the problem ... so far, I don't think there has been one fight at any of the Warrior games this season, and they have all been entertaining games... the only cheap shot was from Cody Beach, and he got a 7-game suspension for it... when kids get to the level where hitting starts, they need to learn how to give a bodycheck and how to receive one, and what is acceptable and what is not ... until that happens things will go on the way they are...
