Stores Moose Jaw Needs

Postby truth defender » Sun Feb 06, 2011 3:59 pm

I was out on the town the other day and looking for some parts for the trusty 30-30 rifle and guess what I could not find any.

Can anyone tell me, does Moose Jaw have a gun store here?

I personally think it is one thing that we could use in this city as we are suppose to be a rural service centre and lets face facts our country cousins need guns for farming and whatnot (do not confuse that with the MultiPlex version of whatnots).

Can't buy what I was looking for at WalMart as they say.

CTC might have something otherwise go to "Wholesale Sports" in Regina. However, a new 30-30 might be difficult to locate as there is not much demand for that caliber on the Prairies.

Thanks Sledge I know we use to have the old Rod and Gun store in the same building as the Moose Jaw and District Food Bank and yes, losing it is a hit to the city.
Do you, or anyone else know, if we have a gunsmith in this city???

Thanks Orvile I hear that he has a brown building on the highway to Estevan - southeast past the statue of Tommy Douglas - and on the south side of the highway.
Too bad we did not have that in Moose Jaw at one of our welding shops......

Not sure thought the building was white - used to be Bob's Machine shop now it is Chip 9 manufacturing.

Andrew is who you want to talk to.

Thanks guys, just too bad someone could not have such a business here in the city as it would help to bring people in.

Would so like to see a fabric store back in MJ; it's a royal pain having to drive to Regina now that Walmart has discontinued their fabric department.
We may not be telling the whole story but the story we're telling is telling...
