Gotta love the internet-discovered the Cruze has a facebook page...replied to every post with my opinion.Within an hour,GM Canada customer service rep called-called dealership-lo & behold, they found the software update for transmission & car is great! Hope it lasts, but right now really like it(on highway cruising at 110,passing like lightening with no effort...well,maybe a bit faster)shifting with no jerking. :D :D :D (US customer rep also sent me message,so they must be watching!)

I meant lightning-I was really happy about getting my ride fixed! :oops:TD-your friend should take his daughter's car in-what a difference. They loaned me a new Buick & shifting was almost the same.

Glad you got your car fixed - sad what you had to go throught. This is why I hear of alot of people going to Watrous for the Chevy Product now. It is a little drive but at least it is fixed right and no run around.

GM Canada must be on to them-customer service rep who got them moving just called-I'm to call her first if any problems at all with car.(or else they've realized they've built an Edsel!)

Well, spoke too soon-4200 km on it & heater quit working! With transmission upgrade, now goes to 3500-4500 RPMs when shifting...needless to say, mileage is like that of a Hummer.I really wonder how this car keeps winning awards-must cost GM a lot.Now struts are faulty-they halted production at Lordstown.Don't buy one of these lemons!! When I told dealer today that they needed to do something,I was told that if a Cobalt with low kms came in,I wouldn't have to pay much more for it! So much for your satisfaction is our guarantee!

DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE AT MOOSE JAW DEALER!!!!! Latest drama-service vehicle light on-popped hood & found oil splattered all over-even on top of hood(inside) I check oil monthly-wasn't there Apr. 1st & I didn't throw any around. In to dealer, where they tried to convince me that it was dirt-oily amber coloured dirt. 6 hours later the light had gone out (miraculously) and the oil "probably had been hanging around since the oil change"...Jan.10! Stopped at Superstore-just decided to pop hood-oil had been cleaned.Got home-smell of oil.New big spot on car & small droplets sprayed up by hood prop. Went back-opinion-your oil was still full. Now have burning oil smell. "Your satisfaction is our guarantee" man invisible as usual.Sounds like I'll be #3 of these cars to go up in flames..I can only hope!
